I don't think the postcard necessarily has to be read as a dig on the other
local purveyors of the Bard, large or small ("insipid takes on the script"
could just as easily be a shot at GLTF, although it could be a comment
simply on the notion that you have to overlay a 'concept' onto the play)   I
do think it shows a breathtaking amount of arrogance, though.

The best apology they could offer is a production that lives up to their
high opinion of themselves.
