Sidewalk Sale, August 7-9th, 10am-5pm (some store hours may vary)

Start your holiday shopping early by checking out the many wonderful stores
in the Medina historic district!  You never know what you'll find, and great
deals abound! The three-day sale culminates on Sunday in conjunction with
Affair on the Square, August 9th, 11am-6pm. Spend a lovely Sunday afternoon
on the Square viewing (and buying!) some wonderful arts and crafts. Over 100
vendors will have their work on display.

Medina International Fest, August 29th, 10am-10pm

Music! Food! Fun! Activities! 

Join Main Street, The Cleveland Clinic and Medina General Hospital for a
twelve-hour celebration as we "Bring the World to Medina"!

*	Continuous musical entertainment, featuring Intransit Latin Jazz,
the University of Akron Steel Drum Duo, Great Lakes Gaelic Society,
Hollywood Slim (rhythm & blues), Zydeco Kings (jazz) and the Rolando Pizana
Latin Seven (Latin funk) and others will keep your toes tapping and a smile
on your face. 
*	Asian Martial Arts of Medina will offer demonstrations of this
fascinating art in the afternoon.  
*	A Children's Parade of Nations will circle the square at 2pm. You
can also help create a tile mural in the Family activity area, explore an
International Bazaar, and fill your belly with tasty treats from around the
globe. 
*	In the afternoon, join us in Entertainment Alley at the
International Beer, Wine, & Cheese Garden!

World Tour of Music 2009-2010 

American Songbook & Broadway Favorites, September 12th, 8:00pm

Hear rising baritone, Scott Skiba, and pianist Steven Gross as they embrace
some of the most beloved American songs with works by Stephen Foster, George
Gershwin, Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim and more! Skiba
has sung in countless places, including the Pittsburgh Opera, Louisiana
Lyric Opera, and the Akron Symphony. Steven Gross is a well-known Broadway
music director/pianist whose credits include: Spelling Bee, The Wedding
Singer, Urinetown (also European Premiere), The Life (also European
Premiere), and the New York City Opera.

Ticket prices: $25 adults; $20 MSM Members, Seniors, Students, groups of 10+

The St. Petersburg String Quartet, November 7th, 8:00pm

One of the world's leading string quartets, this ensemble has blazed a trail
through international chamber music competitions, winning first prize at the
All-Soviet Union String Quartet Competition, the Silver Medal and a Special
Prize at the Tokyo International Competition of Chamber Ensembles, and first
prize and the "Grand Prix Musica Viva" at the International Competition for
Chamber Ensembles in Melbourne, Australia. Direct from St. Petersburg,
Russia,
