North Olmsted Cultural Activities Commission and Kiwanis Club to host
Annual North Olmsted Juried Arts & Crafts Festival and Barbecue Dinner
at Frostville Museum August 9th, featuring over 35 artists and
entertainment.
The City of North Olmsted Cultural Activities Commission and The
Kiwanis Club of North Olmsted will be cosponsoring the annual North
Olmsted Juried Arts & Crafts Festival held at the Frostville Museum,
Olmsted Historical Society’s Museum of Nineteenth Century Americana,
which is located in the Rocky River Reservation of Cleveland
Metroparks (24401 Cedar Point Rd. North Olmsted, Ohio 44070). The
date and hours of the show are Sunday, August 9th between the hours of
10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. In addition to the juried exhibition, there will
be a North Olmsted high school aged student juried exhibition of
around 70 works by NOHS students, a canned food drive to benefit the
North Olmsted Food Bank, which will be supervised by the North Olmsted
High School Key Club and music by local North Olmsted musicians (TMR,
Frim Fram) as well as local members of the BGSU Arts Enterprise
chapter. The barbecue dinner will be prepared and sold by a local
restaurant. There is no charge for admission but attendees are
requested to bring in an item to donate to the North Olmsted Food Bank.
Proceeds will help support the charitable programs of the Kiwanis Club
of North Olmsted and the Olmsted Historical Society. Frostville Museum
is located at the base of Cedar Point Hill in the North Olmsted
section of Cleveland Metroparks and is a small village and museum of
Nineteenth Century Americana operated by the Olmsted Historical Society.
