*Encore Production of :*

Charles Dickens'
*A Christmas Carol*
**
Directed by Lisa-Marie French
*Music Direction by Karen O'Baker Porter*

**
Due to the tremendous response we received last year, we've reassembled the
same production team with the goal of staging the same show again, while
finding ways to make it even better! Last year's cast members are invited
to audition again, though auditions are open to all.
**
*Show Dates:*
*December 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20*
*Two shows on Dec 12 and potentially on Dec 19*
*Performances at the Geauga Theater, Chardon Square, Chardon, Ohio*
**
Auditions Open to All: Sunday Aug 30 from 2pm to 5pm
Auditions by Invitation Only or Call Back: Tuesday Sept 1 from 6:30 to 9pm
*Auditions held at the Geauga Lyric Cultural Arts Center, 106 Water Street,
Chardon*
*(Across from the Geauga Theater)*
**
*The role of Scrooge has already been cast, and will be played by Tom Hill.*
**
*We are seeking:*

*1) Actors of varying ages to play:* The Crachit Family, Fred & Sophie,
Mr. & Mrs. Fezziwig, Mr. Feathers, The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present &
Future, and many others in this large ensemble cast.

*2) An 8 to 10 person improvisational acting team.* This group will
perform before the show and during intermission, interacting with the
audience to recreate the year 1871, and thereby creating a "show within a
show" experience.

*3) A Victorian Choir.* This group will perform a preshow concert and will
be used for scene changes within the show.

Members of the cast will also take turns caroling outside the theater prior
to the show, (weather permitting).

Interested parties may audition for any or all of the above options.

*Those interested in a role in the scripted show* should come prepared to
sing a Christmas song, and be prepared to read from the script.

*Those interested in a spot on the improvisational team* should prepare a
monologue, a poem or some jokes. We will also provide some scenarios for
you.

*Those interested in singing in the Victorian Choir* should prepare a
Christmas song.

All cast members will be expected to learn and practice speaking in
variations of the Victorian London dialect.

*A shortened (5 week), rehearsal schedule is planned, beginning October 25.
The director is seeking people with few conflicts who are willing to commit
to a fast, but time-consuming process.*
