Every year, this is a good place to hang out and meet different people, like
other film festivals, there are good things and bad things, all depending
what you are looking for, but if you haven't been to one, you should,
instead of talking it down, simply because, at every festivals (this one, or
the Geauga one or OIFF, or CIFF), there is something for everything.

This year's Indie Gathering is coming up this weekend, there will be tons of
films (many great ones), many local ones, vendor booths, acting/stunt/makeup
competitions, and finally a weekend packed of lectures about filmmaking,
from local and out of town filmmakers sitting on panel to tell you about
their experiences to legal advise to hands-on DP workshop (2 hours). If you
are new in filmmaking or you have already got something going but lack of
other information, you ought to check this festival out.

Those who are on the panel has been successful in doing what they do best
and if you want free help, free suggestions, free advice, or find talented
cast/crew, you should consider the festival. Most of all, come and have fun.

NOTE: this is NOT part of Cleveland IndieClub nor this yahoogroup, my
involvement is simple to help put the lectures area together or to help
promote it (like I've helped other festivals as well)

Any festivals is good in Cleveland, because they help raise an additional
awareness to our community.

NOTE2: listing here may look disjointed, I've done my best to re-format the
text, but may have missed here and there, if you want more information,
visit http://www.theindiegathering.com This is held at Holiday Inn in
Westlake (1100 Crocker Road I believed)

the answer to a mystifying obsession, music helped Pena bridge two cultures.

Khoomei, or throat-singing, a seemingly impossible form of singing that
produces multiple vocal tones simultaneously.
