The Broadview Heights Spotlights, in an effort to expand its offering to the community and provide local artists a unique performing experience and venue, invites performers to submit proposals for its new Cabaret Season.

Have a story you want to tell? Think your life is interesting enough to entertain others? Imagine yourself on a bare stage, performing a cabaret to a small audience. Sing the songs you love to sing, do a stand-up comedy routine, perform a staged-reading of that masterpiece you wrote in college.

One weekend, two performances, endless possibilities!
a.. Applicants must complete the online application at http://www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org/cabaret.html. Additional documents may be emailed to education at broadview-heights-spotlights.org.

f.. The payment of royalties for the performance of published material will be negotiated.
g.. Applicants may be asked to prepare a short sample (10 - 20 minutes) of their cabaret to perform as an audition in front of a committee in mid-October.
h.. Accepted performers will be asked to sign a contract as a formal commitment. A media release must also be signed.
i.. The cabaret will be produced by the Broadview Heights Spotlights Education Department. A production meeting will be scheduled approximately one month prior to the performance to discuss technical elements and production elements.
