Cain Park¹s ³Pippin² delivers its promise of magic¹
³Magic and merriment. That¹s what¹s promised in the opening prologue of
Pippin,¹ and that¹s what the spirited production at Cain Park¹s Alma
Theater delivers in spades.² Cleveland Jewish News
Cain Park revives ³Pippin² with an energetic cast
³Thanks to the composer [Stephen Schwartz of Wicked¹ fame] and a
supercharged cast, this Pippin¹ still offers a corner of theatrical magic.²

³PIPPIN² reigns at Cain Park
³The show proves, as the opening number states, that There is Magic to Do.¹
Take the intimate Alma Theater stage, and place upon it Martin Cespedes¹
brilliant choreography, the charming and talented Corey Mach (Pippin), add
Nancy Maier¹s finely honed musical direction, sprinkle in a generally
talented cast, and top it off with the deft direction of Victoria Bussert.
The result is a must-see production.² Times Newspapers
This ³Pippin² pops!
³The book by Roger O. Hirson and the 1970s-style pop music and lyrics by
Stephen Schwartz trace a fairly predictable arc, but this production brings
them to life in some surprisingly electrifying as well as a few off-putting,
ways. Thanks to Victoria Bussert¹s energetic direction and the
something-borrowed, something-new choreography of Martin Cespedes the entire
evening has more hits than misses.² Rave And Pan blog
PIPPIN closes Sunday, August 23. Performances are Thursday-Sunday evenings
at 7pm ($22/20 advance, $24/22 day of show) and Sunday matinee at 2pm ($15).
