SET DESIGNER/TD NEEDED for Fall Musical at Saint Joseph Academy 
Saint  Joseph  Academy (high school) is looking for set  designer/TD for 
the fall musical production of SEUSSICAL by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen  Flaherty. 
 The director is local  Equity actor Patrick Janson (“Gould” in Grey 
Gardens last April at the  Beck  Center) who has been a music teacher and the  
director of musicals for the past 12 years at SJA. 
Once production starts in the fall, you  must be available for a production 
meeting once a week, have an interest in  working with and training high 
school students, be able to work collaboratively,  and be able to work within 
a given time frame and budget:  All adults who  work directly with students 
must complete a three-hour VIRTUS training session  in order to work in a 
Catholic school. 
POSITIONS NEEDED (ideally we’d hire one  person to fulfill both jobs): 
SET DESIGNER – able to design a large  scale multi-scene musical in a small 
proscenium theatre, with two extended side  platforms 
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR – must be available  for entire build and all tech 
rehearsals, and lead students with a variety of  skill levels.  Student stage 
crew in  the past have worked Fridays 4-9 p.m. and Sundays 1-6 p.m. (but 
schedule could  possibly change if needed). 
The show will open November 13, 2009  and close on November 22.  Please
