Mayfield Youth Theatre Announces Auditions for 

Cotton Patch Gospel

Book by Tom Key and Russel Treyz
Music and Lyrics by Harry Chapin

Based on the book "The Cotton Patch Version of Matthew and John" by Clarence Jordan in which the Gospel is presented in a setting of rural Georgia with country music songs, the final andperhaps best work of Harry Chapin.  

Auditons are open to students in grades 6 - 12.  Come prepared to do brief movement auditions.  You will be asked to sing one verse of America or My Country Tis of Thee and also asked to perform a short choral excercise to see how you hold pitch with a group.

This is a true ensemble show with lots of roles and even more fun!

Auditions are:
Saturday, August 29th from 1-4 at Mayfield UMC in Chesterland, OH on the corner of Caves and Mayfield Roads
