The Clague Playhouse Gallery presents the works,  “Dramatic By Nature,” by Peter E. Toomey during the run of Noel Coward’s comedy, Fallen Angels, from Friday, September 18 through Sunday, October 11, 2009.

You’ve seen Peter’s picture (singular) in the lobby a half dozen times – when he was on our stage.  But this is the first time you’ll see his pictures (plural) on the lobby wall.

Although Peter’s been an active photographer since the early 70s, it’s only in the last year that his work has been seen outside his own living room.  Clague is pleased to offer this favorite actor his first solo exhibition.

Peter truly loves the out of doors.  A love he shares through his images.

“The ancient Aramaic word ‘Shem’ expresses ‘the radiance, splendor, and beauty of the Creator found in all of creation’.

“I figure stuff I’m walking by every day waited 13 billion years.  For me.  For you.

“So I ask:  ‘What am I here for – in this moment?’  And I’m always glad when carrying my camera.

“Life is such a short time!  My passion is to observe the small miracles of life that too few people take the time to see.  My hope:  to have captured some of the radiance, which might then invite you into a nice growthful place.”

The lobby gallery is open during Box Office hours, Wednesday through Saturday 1:00-6:00pm.

A free reception for patrons follows the Friday, September 18 performance where there will be an opportunity to meet the gallery artist and the cast.

Clague Playhouse is located south of Detroit Road off the I-90W Clague Road Exit.  Free parking as always.
