On Saturday, August 29th, 2009, The Cleveland Clinic, Medina General
Hospital, and Main Street Medina will present the Medina International Fest
from 10am-10pm on and around the historic square of downtown Medina, OH.
 
Highlights:

*	Children's Parade of Nations (around the square) 2pm
*	Community World Mural Project (mosaic tile mural) 10am-5pm
*	Classic British Car Show (around the square) 10am-4pm
*	Ethnic foods
*	over 75 vendors of cultural, international, arts, crafts, fruit,
vegetables

 
Continuous entertainment throughout the day as noted below

In the Square

*	Las Plumas de Hinckley, 9:30-10:30am (Mexican and Cuban music)
*	Intransit Latin Jazz, 11am-1pm
*	O’Hare School of Irish Dance, 1-2pm
*	Children’s Parade of Nations, 2-3pm (free for all to participate)
*	University of Akron Steel Drum Duo, 3-4:30pm
*	Great Lakes Gaelic Society, 4:30-5:30pm, waulking demonstrations and
fiddle playing
*	Joe Novak & Friends, 6-8pm (polka music)

Activities in the Square 10am-8pm

*	Children’s and Family activities and crafts, including mask making,
kite and fan painting, jewellery making in preparation for the Parade of
Nations (sponsored by Gymboree Play & Music, Medina Rotary and Medina
Sunrise Rotary)
*	Help create a tile mural of the world, using handprints! ($)
(sponsored by All Fired Up)
*	International Bazaar featuring over 60 vendors of arts, crafts,
textiles, and “free trade” goods, (sponsored by Trails at Montville Luxury
Apartments)
*	Taste of Nations with foods from around the globe ($) (sponsored by
Hunter Insurance and Westfield Insurance)
*	British Car Show around the Square, anticipated 50-60 classic
British Import cars, (sponsored by the British Car Council)

Entertainment Alley (behind Main Street Café)

*	Hollywood Slim, 1-3pm (rhythm and blues)
*	Zydeco Kings, 4-7pm (Afro-Caribbean Creole-style folk music)
*	Rolando Pizana Latin Seven, 8-10pm (high energy Latin music)

Activities in Entertainment Alley

*	International Beer & Wine Garden, featuring 10 wines and 12 beers
from around the globe ($)
