Do you have that great idea you want to see performed live on stage?
Think you can write funnier material than what you see on Saturday Night
Live?
PROVE IT!!!
The Laughter League
(voted as the TOP sketch comedy group in Cleveland on myfoxcleveland.com 2
years in a row)
is holding a
Sketch Writing Contest

Who is eligible?: The contest is open to everyone. Anyone can submit up to 3
entries.

What to submit?: Sketches should range from 30 seconds to 5 minutes in
length. Entries should be emailed to sketchcontest at laughterleague.com in
script form. The subject of the email should be "Sketch Contest". Visit the
Laughter League website to watch previous sketches for ideas;
www.laughterleague.com or www.youtube.com/laughterleague. Please include
your name and contact information with your entry.

Where will we see the winning entry?: Submitted sketches will be read
anonymously by all members of the Laughter League who will then vote on the
winning entry. The winning sketch will be performed as part of the upcoming
Laughter League show on October 23rd & 24th at the E.14th St. Theater at
Playhouse Square.

When is the deadline?: Entries will be accepted up to 5pm on Friday, October
2nd. The winner will be announced October 9th.

Why submit?: It costs nothing to submit a sketch and the winning entry will
receive two free front row tickets to the October show along with Laughter
League merchandise. The winning writer (or writing team) will receive
acknowledgement in the program as well as during the show. The Laughter
League is always looking to collaborate with new talented performers and
writers and this could be your chance to get your foot in the door with an
up & coming comedy troupe.

*By submitting a sketch, contestants agree that submissions will become the
property of the Laughter League. Submissions may be published or used in any
and all media, whether now known or thereafter devised, without
compensation. In the case that a submitted sketch is used by the Laughter
League, at any point in the future, the author will be given full credit on
any video or printed materials.
