Movement as Meditation with Roger Sams, MA

Transformational Movement  is a unique  approach to  meditation that   
allows your  body’s own natural wisdom and desire to move in  
authentic ways to take you into the place of deep silence.    You  
will move your body through various movement templates that evoke  
emotional and spiritual states, awakening body wisdom with the goal  
of reaching that place where mind chatter ceases and eternal wisdom  
speaks clearly.
	Roger structures each class as a unique movement template with a  
specific purpose in mind.      He gently guides your body with  
suggestions, experiments and possibilities, while maintaining an open  
ended environment that allows you to move in ways that are unique to  
your own body.       Class  ends  with  deep silence that  has  been  
nurtured  by  exquisite musical selections and your  commitment  to  
your movement prayer.      Open to all levels of skill and  
experience  with dance  and meditation.  This class is a movement  
only class. There is no talking circle in this format.

Our spiritual exploration is led by Roger Sams, MA.     Roger  
travels  throughout  the US leading  seminars for  music and movement  
educators and spiritual retreats for those interested in touching God  
through the arts.    He  has  taught   at   The University of  
Montana,   The University  of St. Thomas,  The  University  of  
Wisconsin and Cleveland State University.     He trained in Gestalt  
theory at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland,   is a certified  
TranceDance Ritual Facilitator  and is a  graduate of  The Ashram   
Project.    He is an initiate in the Tradition of the Himilayan Sages  
and continues his own spiritual development under the care of Yogiraj  
Achala.   Roger holds powerful sacred space.
