“LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS”
 A COMEDIC MYSTERY THRILLER MUSICAL

The Broadview Heights Spotlights community theater announces its fall production, “Little Shop of Horrors” – an affectionate spoof of the 1950s sci-fi movies. The show is sponsored by Marymount South Medical Center and runs from September 11-October 3, 2009, Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM. There will be matinees on Sundays, September 20 and 27 at 3PM. All shows will be at the Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building on the Broadview Center property, 9543 Broadview Road (next to the Police Department). Tickets are $12 for adults and $11 for students and senior citizens. Reservations are strongly suggested and can be made on-line at www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org or by calling 440/526-4404.
The show is directed by Amy McSweeney with music direction by JT Buck, and features Justin Schickler, Nicole Velotta, Shane Stahl, Aaron Kastinis, Tara Shooks, Maggie Majercik, and Tiffany Schmidt. It is written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken and produced through special arrangement with Musical Theater International (MTI), New York, NY.
Synopsis: A down-and out skid row floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon “Audrey II” grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite.
