THE TELL-TALE HEART
Synopsis:
A re-imagining of Edgar Allen Poe’s classic tale of guilt and terror set on the home front during World Ward II. Jonathan Parker has two secrets that he is desperately trying to keep during a game of cards, the truth about his proposed weapons factory and the dead body in the basement.
Character Descriptions:
Jonathan Parker, late 20s – mid 40s, ambitious employee of a weapons manufacturing company, who will go to great lengths to protect his employer’s secret.
Raymond Miller, mid 40s – 60s, town elder, wise and good natured but a bit sarcastic, skeptical of changes to the town such as Parker’s weapons plant.
Walter Steele, early 30s – mid 40s, town finance director, very practical and fiscally responsible.
Mayor Benjamin Wilson, mid 50s – late 60s, the town mayor, a natural leader with a distinguished and commanding presence.
Chief Russell Anderson, mid 40s – early 60s, the town police chief, confident, serious, and extremely competitive.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:
This project is an HD Short film.
Compensation: Copy, Credit, Craft Service during shoot
Please note: ***All roles are non-paid***
Principle photography is currently scheduled to begin in November 2009.
The film will be directed by Jeff Yanik. Jeff Yanik is an award winning director who holds an MFA in Motion Picture Production from the University of Miami in Coral Gables , Florida .
