Definitely not your father's version of A Christmas Carol, hang on for a wild, irreverent, rollicking send-up of a Christmas classic!

Scripts and audition scenes are available. Please be familiar with the script.

This production requires a flexible and non-traditional ensemble of

men, women, boys and girls.

Character descriptions:

The descriptions below are very general. Even so, please do not feel constrained by them. We are prepared to be very creative and 'non-traditional' in our choice of actors!

MAIN CHARACTERS

GHOST of Christmases - African-American woman, any age. Must have 'attitude'.

EBENEZER SCROOGE - cranky older man.

BOB CRATCHIT - Thirtyish to Fortyish. Sweet and loving, none-too-bright.

MRS. BOB CRATCHIT - Thirtyish to Fortyish. The original desperate housewife.

TINY TIM - Boy, twelve or older. Very sincere and pathetic.

ENSEMBLE

5 roles, a variety of genders and ages. These actors will play multiple characters, including:

LITTLE NELL - long-suffering young female.

MR/MRS. FEZZIWIG & 2 FEZZIWIG daughters - cheerful, insufferably so.

GHOST OF JACOB MARLEY - traditional ghost, really into the whole 'scaring' thing.

THE NICE MRS. CRATCHIT - As patient and kind as the 'real' one is not.

CHILDREN

Twelve or older. May also play multiple roles, including:

YOUNG EBENEZER - already a cranky 'old' man.

YOUNG JACOB MARLEY - Mini Marley.
