Karamu House, Inc. proudly presents the Ohio premiere of the drama
Yellowman written by Dael Orlandersmith and directed by Fred Sternfeld,
Artistic Director of Fairmount Performing Arts Conservatory.

Yellowman is a provocative love story that explores the intra-racism within
the African American community and its unflinching look at its ugly legacy.
The show is being performed in Karamu's Arena Theatre from October 30 to
November 22, 2009.

Yellowman is a story about Alma and Eugene who have known each other since
they were young children. As their friendship blossoms into love, Alma
struggles to free herself from her mother's poverty and alcoholism, while
Eugene must contend with the legacy of being "yellow"-lighter-skinned than
his brutal and unforgiving father.
