Mohamed Tounkara of Guinea W. Africa teaches Dance & Percussion classes at Passport Project 
October 10 to November 9:

DANCE: 
Saturdays, 3:30 to 5PMMondays, 6:30-8:00PM

PERCUSSION: Rhythms of Guinea; Dun Dun, Sangban, Kinkini, Djembe; 
We have drums or bringyour own.
Tuesdays 7:30-8:45PM

$12 drop inClass cards--Mix and match--Expire Nov. 9$60 for any 6 classes$90 for any 10 Classes

YOUTH Guinean rhythm/dance Experience: Ages 2-12
Mondays, 4:15 to 5:00PM $5/class

Mohamed Tounkara is a dancer/choreographer/assistant to the director with Le Ballet de
Matam in Conakry, Guinea, a world renowned Guinean dance group of which he has been a
member since 1998. Mohamed plays percussion with several groups in Guinea, and has
taught westerners dance in various settings for years, including in Passport Project's
recent fair trade drum and dance workshops in Guinea (4 hours of dance, 3 hours of
drumming each day!!!), and our summer youth camp. Mohamed plays dun dun and sangban with
various groups in Guinea, and he knows songs and the rhythms for djembe accompaniment of
the numerous dances that he knows. His English is good, and he is an outstanding teacher!
