Classical Guitar Society presents: A
Singular Duo...An Extraordinary Program! Duo Montagnard performs on Sunday
November 1st 2009, 3:00 PM at Forest Hill
 Church, 3031 Monticello Boulevard, Cleveland Heights. A free-will offering
will be accepted. Just back from their tour of Thailand,
Australia and New Zealand,
Duo Montagnard presents a program of works written for them by composers from
around the world. This unique saxophone and guitar duo was formed in 2002 and
has performed over 100 concerts across the U.S., Canada, Slovenia, Greece, Thailand,
Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Recent commissions include works by John
Anthony Lennon, John Orfe, George Daravelis, Andrew Walters, and Charles Stolte.
Joseph Murphy has been saxophone professor at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania
since 1987. Matthew Slotkin directs guitar programs at both Mansfield
and Bloomsburg Universities.
