The Little Box performance schedule is as follows:

Thursday, November 5
History of Life, Written by Becky Cummings, Directed by Jaclyn Villano

History of Life follows Sybil, an adopted Evolutionary Biologist, on her quest into the American southwest to meet members of her birth family. It begins in Lake Havasu City, AZ where the London Bridge crosses a man-made lake. Sybil seeks the genetic origins of her life but discovers that identity is often woven into a chaotic multi-layered story, not always in our control. Sybil has revelations about Wal-mart, Elvis Presley, Cowboys and Indians and fossilized Tyrannosaurus Rex tracks. Science versus religion and nature verses nurture both come to a head at the Four Corners Monument, where Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona come together in a point. Literally.

Friday, November 6
The Doppelganger, a play in eighteen paintings, Written by Deborah Magid, Directed by Karen Sabo

What really happened between Edouard Manet and his muse, the artist Berthe Morisot? He made more than a dozen portraits of her over a six year period: then she married his brother, and Manet never painted her again. The Doppelganger explores love from fantastic to romantic to real, through the lens of Manet's and Morisot's artworks. Featuring Deborah Magid*, Amy Pawlukiewicz , Brian Pedaci, Laura Perrotta* and Karen Sabo* (*Members, AEA)

NO PERFORMANCE ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7th

Sunday, November 8 (Double Bill)
Projecting by Rachel Baird, Directed by Jaime Bouvier, Featuring Faye Hargate

Photographs are a way of telling stories, of tracking and keeping human histories on an intensely personal level. They are often the only real proof that a life has happened. Projection is a method of sharing these images; it is also a method of separating the self from the self, of hiding personal realities safely away in plain sight. Projecting is the story of one woman through photographs.

You Can See the World from Cleveland, Written by and featuring Aaron Calafato

You Can See the World from Cleveland is a solo performance and a vibrant tapestry of stories and experiences. Aaron Calafato grew up in Northeast Ohio and finds that it has shaped him more than he thinks. From the immigrant experience of his family to his first memory of the Cleveland Browns, to his adolescent adventures and into the passionate journey of a young actor in NYC, we see struggle, love, humor, and hope through the eyes of an artist.

Thursday, November 12th (Double Bill)
Flock of Seagulls by Stuart Hoffman, directed by Derek Koger, Featuring Sean Galligan and Brian McNally.

Two friends learn that they are characters trapped inside a play. Finding the script, they begin discovering mistakes and arguing over what to do. As the criticisms progress, the roommates must decide if these events are intentional acts or genuine mistakes by the playwright. Meanwhile, a higher force is at work attempting to make the decision for them and won't take no for an answer.

Wave by Jaclyn Villano, Directed by Michael Parsons, Featuring Marla Williams

Life's defining moments hit us in waves: Waves of fear and denial, of anger and despair; waves of hope and promise. Wave follows Reese Thompson's journey to find courage, wisdom and love after a life-changing event. This one-woman show incorporates ten distinct characters, each with an indelible effect on Reese's life. This performance features Marla Williams, a Columbus theater veteran and a Theatre Daedalus Ensemble Member.

Friday, November 13th
Musicalling by Ian Adler

Although The Musicalling is not yet in rehearsals, a group of stage technicians find themselves faced with a surprisingly packed house. What was likely to be a quiet evening of set construction and lighting design becomes the performance of a lifetime as the new cast of The Musicalling finds themselves center-stage, out of their element, and on the path to self-discovery. Written by Ian Adler (Matt Greenfield) and arranged by Joe Barone, Featuring the talents of LaJuan Foust, Amanda Clark, Shawn Michelle, Matt Goldman, Liz Huff and Melissa DeLucchi.

Saturday, November 14th (Double Bill)
Mother/Tongue by Claire Robinson May, Directed by Danielle Hisey

Workaholic mother Margot obsessively prepares Julia Child's 1960's-era beef tongue recipe, vanishes for hours, and starts speaking only French. Her two teenagers keep their own secrets as they struggle in the shadow of parental expectations, and no one is talking. Margot's husband Tom, mother-in-law Beverly, and best friend Jane try to slice and dice to the heart (or is it the tongue?) of the matter - and dinner is served. Mother/Tongue serves up isolation, communication, motherhood, food and love. Bon appétit! Featuring Jean Colerider, Christopher Hisey, John-Paul Makowski, Kate Miller, Amy Pawlukiewicz, Brian Pedaci and Kay Rommel

Bon Voyage, mon Oie (Goodbye, my Goose), written by Tara Broeckel Ooten, Directed by Michael Sepesy

Terrified by the natural world, barricaded in their home, alienated from each other, two brothers, Loch and Rood, go about the ritual of their daily lives. Bon Voyage, mon Oie is an absurd look at the story of two shut-ins who, despite their fear of the outside world, each attempt to overcome social paralysis in their own way as they struggle with the meaning of life, language, and the difficult circumstances that accompany illness. Featuring Andrew Narten and Doug Kusak.

Sunday, November 15th (Double Bill)
Au Bout de Son Latin by Ryan Charles Ramer, directed by Kevin Stephanos Charnas

Take a look inside the head of Sam, a hopeless romantic who deals better with fantasy than reality. What happens when Sam throws a party to get close to a love interest? Experience the night from the perspective of Sam's internal monologue in a revealing process of deceit, duplicity, and courage.

girl by Jenna Messina, Directed by Dan Kilbane

girl, a new play by Jenna Messina, is the story of a girl forced to leave her home, and then forced to return three years later, only to discover a mother and a sister both paralyzed with fear and toilet paper. girl is an exploration is family, choices, change and fixing the unfixable.
