AUDITIONS FOR OPERA CLEVELAND CHORUS 

Opera Cleveland and Chorus Master, C. M. Shearer, will hold auditions
for chorus [paid positions] for its upcoming 2010 season on the
following dates and times:
Friday, Nov. 13, 4:00 pm-10:00 pm
Saturday, Nov. 14, 10:00 am-9:00 pm

The 2010 Season will require a large chorus for each of the productions.

Productions

Lucia di Lammermoor: The State Theater, Playhouse Square
Performance Dates: May. 20, 22 and 23, 2010
Chorus Music Rehearsals: Week of Apr. 18, 2010. Location TBD.

Staging Rehearsals:  Apr. 26, 2010 THROUGH May 18, 2010

The Pearl Fishers: The State Theater, Playhouse Square
Performance Dates: Sept. 23, 25 and 26, 2010
Chorus Music Rehearsals: Week of Aug. 22, 2010. Location TBD.
Staging Rehearsals:   Aug. 30, 2010 THROUGH Sept. 21, 2010

I Pagliacci: The State Theater, Playhouse Square
Performance Dates: Nov. 11, 1 3 and 14, 2010
Chorus Music Rehearsals: Week of Oct. 10, 2010. Location TBD.
Staging Rehearsals:   Oct. 20, 2010 THROUGH Nov. 9, 2010



Audition Procedures

*	Auditions. All interested persons must audition.  Everyone must
sing two contrasting selections of your choice, each of approximately 2
minutes in length, with a least one in Italian. The other selection may
be an opera or oratorio aria, or an art song. An accompanist will be
provided.  

*	Location.  Auditions will be held in the Green (east) Rehearsal
Room of the State Theatre at Playhouse Square.  Please enter through the
State Theatre Stage Door, 1650 Chester Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115.  

*	Auditions are by appointment only.  To request an application
call Opera Cleveland's Production Department at (216) 575-0903 x 211 or
email to: wilson at operacleveland.org  Audition Applications can also be
downloaded from our website: www.operacleveland.org  Click on "Company."
Please send completed applications along with a resume and headshot/
