Brecksville Little Theatre will hold final auditions for the musical-comedy
Bells Are Ringing, on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 7 pm to 9pm in Rooms
9 and 10 at Blossom School, 4450 Oakes Road, Brecksville, OH 44141. All
roles are open. The show is slated to run the entire month of March, 2010,
with rehearsals beginning January 4, 2010. Singers, please bring two song
selections, one ballad, one up-tempo, in your key. Accompanist will be
provided. Absolutely NO A Cappella or CD's will be allowed. Come dressed
for movement. Director is Paul J. Virag, and Music Director is Bob Day.

There are major parts available for 4 women and 6 men, as well as a large
ensemble chorus. This is a chorus intensive show, as they appear as
different characters throughout, as well as participate in almost all of the
songs, even those that are sung by the leads.

Bells Are Ringing is the charming musical/comedy revolving around an
answering service in the late 50's. Ella Peterson works for her cousin Sue
as an answering service operator. The major rule of the service is "Don't
get involved with the clients!", however, Ella keeps forgetting the word
"don't" and ends up helping everyone she comes in contact with, falling in
love in the interim.

Bells Are Ringing was a huge hit in the 50's, earning its star, Judy
Holliday, a well deserved Tony award. Ms. Holliday recreated her stage role
in the 1960 movie of the same name, starring opposite Dean Martin and Jean
Stapleton, who was also in the Broadway cast.

Songs from the show include "The Party's Over", "Just In Time", "I Met A
Girl" and the show stoppers "Drop That Name" and "I'm Going Back".
