DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS - UPCOMING AUDITIONS AT 

STAGECRAFTERS YOUTH THEATRE

 

Orange Community Education and Recreation's Stagecrafters Teen Academy
announces auditions for their spring production of the 2009-10 season.
Auditions for DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS will be held on Sunday, December
13th at 2:00pm at the Pepper Pike Learning Center on the Orange City
Schools Campus, 32000 Chagrin Blvd, Pepper Pike OH 44124. Performances
will be April 23-April 25, 2010 at the Orange High School auditorium.

 Auditions are open to students in grades 8 - 12.  Those wishing to
audition should prepare 32 measures of a musical theatre song in the
style of the show and written in key that demonstrates the auditioner's
particular vocal range.  An accompanist will be provided and a CD
/Cassette Player will be available for those wishing to use a
pre-recorded instrumental track. A dance audition will be included, so
comfortable clothes and appropriate footwear should be worn.  Audition
packets can be downloaded at the Stagecrafters section of
www.orangerec.com <http://www.orangerec.com/>  and a completed audition
pack, including a rehearsal conflict form and parent signatures, should

Based on the popular 1988 film, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS centers on two
con men living on the French Riviera. The first is the suave and
sophisticated Lawrence Jameson, who makes his lavish living by talking
rich ladies out of their money. The other, a small-time crook named
Freddy Benson, more humbly swindles women by waking their compassion
with fabricated stories about his grandmother's failing health.  After
meeting on a train, they unsuccessfully attempt to work together only to
find that this small French town isn't big enough for the two of them.
A hilarious battle of cons ensues, that will keep audiences laughing,
humming and guessing to the end!
