Audition Notice

 

The Berea Grindstone Players will hold auditions for "Art of Murder," by Joe
DiPietro, directed by Paul Runevitch. The "Art of Murder is a murder mystery
comedy that will make you die laughing.

 

Auditions will be held Sunday December 5th 3:00 - 5:00 and Monday, December
6th from 7:00-8:30 pm. Auditions will be held at:

 

 St. Andrews Presbyterian Church 

23114 West Rd

Olmsted Falls, OH 44138

 

Auditions will consist of reading from the script. All roles are open and
they are as follows:

 

Jack Brooks - 35-55. Is a renowned artist who is ruggedly handsome.

Annie Brooks - Jack's wife who may be several years younger than Jack.

Vincent Cummings - A high-powered flamboyant art dealer.

Kate -20's. An Irish immigrant. The Brooks maid.

 

Synopsis: In a remote country estate, Jack Brooks, one of the most
accomplished and eccentric painters of his generation, awaits the arrival of
his art dealer. Jack feels wronged and is intending to kill the dealer.
Annie is reluctant to go along with the plan, until Jack threatens her with
violence. Harried and annoyed, Vincent, Jack's flamboyant art dealer
arrives. Will Jack carry out his plan? Will Annie help him? Or is something
else going on?

 

Directed by Paul Runevitch. Performances will be February 5, 6, 7, 12 and
13. The performance on Sunday, the 7th will be a matinee. Please call
