The Cleveland Play House is seeking an Education Associate to help implement
The Cleveland Play House's Education program. Ideal candidate will have a
strong interest in arts education and excellent administrative skills.  Job
responsibilities include booking and processing payments for the student
matinee series, developing and managing educational programming,
coordinating and executing educational events, marketing all programs,
detailed contact management, record-keeping and data-base management.
Excellent administration and communication skills a must as well as the
ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well under pressure.  Applicant
should be a good team-player who knows how to take initiative. Knowledge of
the Cleveland educational community a plus.  Minimum qualifications: BA in
related field, similar prior work experience; strong verbal, writing and
communication skills; fluency in all Microsoft Office Applications, strong
presentation skills and excellent professional telephone skills.  Schedule
will include some nights/week-ends.  Position to be filled immediately.

Detailed Job Description below:

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1.	Student Matinee Performances:
a)	Maintain a thriving student matinee program for both Mainstage and
children's series by cultivating relationships with teachers and schools and
with strategic targeted marketing 
b)	Processing reservations, contracting, invoicing, and processing and
recording payments.
c)	Coordinating with teachers and administrators, school finance
departments, and transportation companies.
d)	Performing all front of house duties, including but not limited to
directing buses, greeting students & teachers, handing out teacher packets,
assisting the house manager with seating, giving curtain speeches.  
2.	Class Act Workshops
a)	Take & process reservations for pre & post show workshops in-school,
post-show workshops in-house and backstage tours. 
b)	Invoicing and recording payments.  
c)	Marketing of workshop program.
d)	Conducting back stage tours and teach classes/workshops
3.	Manage and administer Key Bank Play House College.
a)	Communicating with, scheduling, and tracking students in the program
b)	Marketing of the program and student recruitment. 
c)	Coordinating Saturday sessions, including checking students in,
providing lunch for students and having all materials ready.  
4.	Coordinate and direct the Senior Projects Program for high school
seniors 
a)	Schedule shadowing opportunities and workshops/seminars
b)	Work with students on final project and 
c)	Coordinate with school counselors and advisors.
5.	Internship Program
a)	Manage all interns in the education department.
i.	Provide guidance on projects and in all aspects of the internship
ii.	Evaluate progress and final experience of the students
6.	Market all Programs
a)	Create, edit, and proof annual education brochure
b)	Do regular e-mail blasts to core constituency
c)	Maintain mailing lists and communication about events and programs
with teachers.
d)	Host and work public educational events at CPH and in the Cleveland
Community
7.	Work with the Education Director to be a liaison from The Cleveland
Play House to the Cleveland Education Community.

ii.	Cleveland Theatre community 
iii.	University Circle Inc.
iv.	Young Audiences/ ICARE
v.	Northeast Ohio Colleges & Universities
vi.	Arts Education Consortium 
b)	Prepare events and attend meetings
8.	Assist Education Director in coordination of the following programs:
a)	Adult Education Classes 
b)	All Community Partnerships
c)	Professional Development for Teachers
9.	Event planning and coordinating
a)	Improv Olympics
b)	NEOEA Day
c)	Fair on the Square
d)	Professional Development Nights for teachers
e)	Theatre Educator Nights
f)	Various Education Fairs
g)	Play House College Saturdays
h)	Any Additional Events
10.	Administrative:
a)	Study Guides- proofing, copying, assembly, & distributing 
b)	Creation of a filing and database system for all education
department contacts.
c)	Program Marketing.
d)	Plan and execute Education Department events.
e)	Attend Education Committee meeting and take minutes.
f)	Various office responsibilities as needed, including shopping for
food, supplies for the office, and events.
