Give the perfect gift this holiday season to your creative, imaginative child by giving the gift of theater! The Illusion Factory, Akron’s professional theater for young audiences, offers acting classes for children ages four through teens. The Saturday morning classes run for ten weeks, January 9th through March 13th, and are held at the Northwest Family Recreation Center (adjoining the Northwest Library) at 1730 Shatto Ave., Akron, Ohio, 44313.

The Classes, taught by professional actors from The Illusion Factory, are as follows:

CREATIVE DRAMAAge 4 – 611AM - 12 Noon
Young children develop their imagination through creative play, stories, music, and movement.

BEGINNING ACTINGAge 7 – 911AM - 12 Noon
Learn basic acting skills, including voice projection, pantomime, and scene work; and develop confidence while having fun!

MORE STORIES FROM YOUR PRINCESS DIARYAge 6 - 810 - 11AM
Continue to create mini plays of long ago castles, knights, and princesses.

ACTING IIAge 10 and older10-11AM 
A more advanced acting class which includes improv, character/plot development, and scene study.

Fee for the ten weeks is $90, and a $10 discount is offered to any child from the family who enrolls in a second class. Preregistration is required by calling The Illusion Factory at (330) 836-1353 or emailing barbaraballance at theillusionfactory.org.
