Please consider joining OddyFest as we ring out 2009 (on the last night of
Hannukah, no less) with a packed free show at library called "Bringing It
All Back Home". On exhibition will be four student-written staged readings
and one epic Jewish-themed shtetl-to-America work called "The Adventures of
Fleische Michecha of Rumilshtenikisigov" by Matt Greenfield. The drama
starts *this Friday 12/18 at 6:45 at the Brody-Nelson Meeting Room of the
Cleveland Heights Library (2345 Lee Road).* As always, the show is FREE and
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Hope to see you there for some powerful theatre in the
making!  Read on for details:

*Bringing It All Back Home:*

*OddyFest #16*

*OddyFest’s December program explores our concepts of “home”*

*with an epic story of a wandering Jewish immigrant*

*and readings of short plays from high school students.*

*“The Adventures of Fleische Michecha of Rumilshtenikisigov”*

*by Matt Greenfield*

* *

A wandering historical epic in the style of screenwriter Eric Roth (“Forrest
Gump,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”), this play investigates a
“quiet man” who finds himself caught up in some of the major wars of the
early 20th century, eventually winding up in the U.S. in the Roaring ‘20s.

*Readings from Gilmour Academy’s “P-Unit”*

* *

Each night of the December program will feature four different one-acts
written and read by high school juniors and seniors with a wide range of
“home” settings: from a cockpit to a hospital to a bus stop

to a student council election as allegory for the recession.

*Friday, December 18*

*Shows start at 6:45 p.m.*

* *

*BRODY-NELSON ROOM*

*of the Cleveland Heights Library, Lee Road Branch*

*(2345 Lee Road, just next to the stairs)*

*FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!*
