Brecksville Theater On The square will be holding auditions for the musical Gypsy Monday, February 8th from 7-10, and Tuesday, February 9th from 7-10. Callbacks will be held Wednesday, February 10th from 7-10. Rehearsals begin March 7th, with nine performances April 30th-May16th.
 
The show is directed by Geoffrey Short and music-directed by Georgiann Bodle.
 
Gypsy is the ultimate story about an aggressive stage mother. Join Rose, June and Louise in their trip across the United States during the 1920's, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born. Jule Styne's music and Stephen Sondheim's lyrics include Let me Entertain You, All I Need Is The Girl, Everything's Coming Up Roses, and many more. This is the gripping story of one of the most frightening aspects of show business
 
All parts are available except the for the part of Rose, played by Monica Olejko. For the audition, please prepare a musical theater song selection and bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided. Also dress comfortably for movement.
