Pianist Dmitri Levkovich to Join Conductor Stephen A. Eva 

and the Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra for Valentine's Concert

Second Prize Winner of the 2009 Cleveland International Piano Competition to
Perform Rachmaninoff Encore

 

Conductor Stephen A. Eva and the Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra announce
that world-renowned and award-winning pianist and composer Dmitri Levkovich
will join them for their Valentine's concert at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday,
February 13 at Chagrin Valley Little Theatre (40 River Street, Chagrin
Falls). In recognition of his prize-winning performance at the recent 2009
Cleveland International Piano Competition and accompanied by the Studio
Orchestra, Mr. Levkovich will perform an encore of Rachmaninoff's Concerto
No. 2 in C Minor, Op. 18.

 

Dmitri Levkovich holds a degree in Composition from the Curtis Institute of
Music. His compositions have been performed by National Symphony Orchestra
of Ukraine, Liepaya Philharmonic, and Curtis Symphony Orchestra. His
featured solos include those with National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine,
the New Hampshire Music Festival Orchestra, Cleveland Institute of Music
Orchestra, Takamatsu International Piano Competition Orchestra, Florence
Symphony Orchestra, Plano Symphony Orchestra, Hilton Head Orchestra and the
Louisiana Philharmonic. His numerous awards include Second Prize (2009),
Audience Prize, and Chopin Prize in the Cleveland International Piano
Competition; First Prize in the Jose Iturbi International Music Competition;
Second Prize in the New Orleans International Piano Competition; and First
Prize and Public Prize in the Viardo International Piano Competition. Mr.
Levkovich is currently pursuing his Artist Diploma under the renowned
pianist Sergei Babayan.
