Due to New Year's Day pushing the OddyFest schedule back a few weeks, we
have a show next week (our last of the January program), and then a show the
very next week (the first of our February program)-- quite an oddity for
OddyFest. Please consider joining us *Friday, January 29, at 7:15* for the
crowd-pleasing Bond spoof "Sometimes Never Is Twice More Than Enough for
Tomorrow to Die with Diamonds" by Matt Greenfield and the intense "Not a
Uterus in Sight" by Michael Oatman.

THEN, join us for our first-ever Sunday matinee the following week: *Sunday,
February 7th, at 3 p.m.* This cross-cultural program is guaranteed to
perplex and amuse, with plays, songs, and theatrical experiments jam-packed
into the Cleveland Heights Library (2345 Lee Road).

Both shows are FREE and are located at our traditional venue: the
Brody-Nelson MTG Room. Read on for details!

*Secret Agent Men: OddyFest #17*

* *

*OddyFest’s January program pairs *

*two very different looks at government agents:*

*“Sometimes Never Is Twice More than Enough for Tomorrow to Die... with
Diamonds” by Matt Greenfield (accompanied by Joe Barone)*

* *

This over-the-top parody of the first James Bond film, 1962’s *Dr. No*,
finds Hugh Jdick thwarting Dr. Maybe’s overly-complex plan for world
domination, all the while attempting catch his stereotypical “Bond girls” up
to the gender roles of the present with the aid of *The Feminine Mystique*.

*“Not a Uterus in Sight” by Michael Oatman (dir. Mia Jones)*

* *

In this intense two-person show, a federal government agent interrogates a
pro-choice professor in an alternate present in which *Roe v. Wade* is
overturned and each state must decide the legality of abortion for its
citizens.

*Friday, January 29*

*Show starts at 7:15*

* *

*BRODY-NELSON ROOM*

*of the Cleveland Heights Library, Lee Road Branch*

*(2345 Lee Road, just next to the stairs)*
*FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!*

*Cross-Cultures: OddyFest #18*

* *

*OddyFest’s February program of Sunday matinees*

*investigates culture clashes around the globe:*

*“Anthropology/Verandahs” by Ian Adler*

A husband-and-wife pair of early-20th century anthropologists

attempt to document the “native culture” of Africa from their verandah,

while the “natives” have their own plans and the tables

will turn in more ways than one.

*“The Master of Every Situation” by Matt Greenfield*

A fortune cookie bearing the title phrase prompts an American

schlmazel to drop everything and fly to London to attempt

to connect with a late-nite BBC anchor.

*PLUS a few Oddy surprises!*

Interspersed in this cross-cultural programming will be a few songs

from Oddy Music Director Joe Barone, a short Cat Kenney piece, and an
Adlerian postmodernistic experiment or three (featuring girl scouts on
2/7!).

*The Odd SUNDAYS:*

*Sunday, February 7 / Sunday, February 21*

*Show starts at 3:00*

* *

*BRODY-NELSON ROOM*

*of the Cleveland Heights Library, Lee Road Branch*

*(2345 Lee Road, just next to the stairs)*

*FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!*
