The Heights Chamber Orchestra will perform on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 7:30 pm at The First Unitarian Church, 21600 Shaker Blvd., in Shaker Heights. Piano soloist will be Emanuela Friscioni and the guest conductor will be Horst Buchholz. The program includes Bizet's Suite from L'Arlesienne and Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2. Free will donation. 

  
Since her debut at the age nine, Emanuela Friscioni, a native of Italy, has played numerous solo recitals and concertos throughout Italy and abroad. In July 2000, she made her debut in the USA with a recital for the Cleveland Restoration Society in Cleveland, Ohio. This debut was followed by her first American appearance as soloist with the Heights Chamber Orchestra. Since then, Ms. Friscioni has appeared locally as soloist with the Cleveland Women's Orchestra, the Suburban Symphony, the Parma Symphony, and the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. She has also performed in chamber ensembles with members of the Cleveland Orchestra. Together with her husband, pianist Antonio Pompa-Baldi, their four-hand performances have gained them many prizes, and wonderful reviews. In addition to her performing career, Ms. Friscioni is the Director of the Classical Music Performance Academy at Tri-C, and is on faculty at the Cleveland Institute of Music. She lives in Shaker
 Heights with her husband and their daughter. 
  
Guest conductor, Horst Buchholz, a native of Germany, has lived in the United States since 1989. He has  been active as a conductor, organist, and lecturer in the United States, Japan, Korea, Mexico, and throughout Europe. Dr. Buchholz has served as the director of sacred music and principal organist at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Denver, Colorado and associate professor of church music at St. John Vianney Seminary. He currently serves as Organist/Choirmaster and Canon for Music and Worship at Cleveland ’s Trinity Cathedral, where he also serves as Artistic Director of the Music & Performing Arts series, and the Trinity Chamber Orchestra. He also is Conductor Laureate and Artistic Advisor of the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra. He is married to soprano MeeAe Cecelia Nam.
