[NEohioPAL] Attention Glee Fans! Medina HS Hosts First Show Choir Competition Feb 13.

After more than twenty years of successful performance as a high school show choir, the Encore Entertainment Company show choir at Medina High Schoolwill host its first-ever show choir competition.  On Saturday, February 13, 2010, MHS will open its doors to host fifteen of Ohio and West Virginia ’s finest high school show choirs at the 2010 Medina Midwest Showcase.
 
Each participating show choir will perform a creatively produced twenty minute show full of music and dance for adjudication by a panel of expert show choir judges.  The following high schools have registered to compete in this year’s event:  Beavercreek, Brush, Capital (West Virginia), Cory-Rawson, Cuyahoga Falls, Euclid, Findlay, Garfield Heights, Mayfield, Olentangy, Piqua, Rocky River, Strongsville, Van Buren, and Walsh Jesuit.
 
The daytime preliminary competition round will begin at 8:30 AM, followed by an award ceremony at 5:30 PM.  The top six scoring show choirs from the daytime competition will also participate in the final competition round beginning at 7:30 PM.  All competition events are open to the public.  General admission tickets ($10 for daytime or evening competition, $15 all day pass) will be available for purchase at the door.
 
The show choir competition events will be held on the Medina Performing Arts Center Main Stage.  A soloist competition will be held on the Middle Stage.  Outstanding concessions and meals will be offered in the MHS cafeterias.  Ample free parking is provided in the beautiful Medina Performing Arts Centerlots located at
