"Those Lips, Those Eyes" is a 1980 film about summer theater in the 1950s. Starring Frank Langella, Tom Hulce and Glynnis O'Connor, it's not only set in a place like Cain Park was in the '50s, but it was actually filmed at Cain Park in 1979 (before the amphitheater had a roof, and when it still had wooden benches, and stone and concrete boxes, etc.)

And the production of that movie was what enabled Cain Park to renovate the amphitheater and relaunch its ambitious theater, music and dance programming.  You can see what Cain Park -- and summer theater -- was like in the '50s at a rare screening of "Those Lips, Those Eyes" -- a benefit for the Friends of Cain Park -- at 2:00 on Sunday, Feb. 21, at the Cedar Lee Theater.

It's the 30th anniversary of the movie and of Cain Park, as we know it today.  Tickets are only $30 for the movie, plus movie candy, popcorn, pastries, wine and other beverages.

Mail reservations and check to Friends of Cain Park, 2195 Delaware Dr., Cleve. Hts., OH 44106.  Info at 216-791-5149.
