Winter Newsletter 2010
Brecksville Center for the Arts

We’ve made it through the first half of winter and I’m sure many of us are thinking about spring already. BCA has lots of ideas to help you get the rest of the way through this cold season. Go to our website and click on the links to see our current schedule for classes that are starting in the next few weeks.

A new class that is not in the current brochure is Dalcroze Eurhythmics for Children. Taught by an instructor from the Conservatory at Baldwin Wallace College, this class is designed to teach children music through body movement. Classes start soon – please call us for more information 440-526-6232

The current show in our gallery is Mike Guyot from Fish Face Graphics. Mike is an architectural impressionist and depicts scenes that are not necessarily famous to everyone, but have mean great meaning to those who see them. Each image is drawn by hand and then gone over with acrylic washes. Originals and prints are for sale. The detail is amazing and the characterizations of the scenes are fun. The show is free and open to the public, call us for more information 440-526-6232.

Another great program BCA offers is our After School Arts Program. Art Classes are offered immediately following school at the following schools in Brecksville – Chippewa, Highland, Hilton and Central.

BCA would also like to extend and invitation to come to Art From the Heart – A celebration of art held each year to support programming at Brecksville Center for the Arts. This year the date is February 28th. From 4 to 7 pm guests will dine on a wonderful supper buffet including a dazzling display of desserts and meet many artists from Studio B, BCA’s Art Club. Studio B artist’s will have work on display for you to see and purchase. Auction items will be available to bid on while you enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of hot coffee. Tickets this year are only $25 – a great way to support art in our community and enjoy a warm winter evening. Please call our office for tickets 440-526-6232.

Enjoy!
