Members without appointments will be seen throughout the audition
day, as time permits.)





Please prepare two brief
monologues (preferably contrasting): both may be contemporary but a 
classical piece is acceptable (no more than three minutes total).  Be
prepared to work the monologues

with differing intentions as
requested in the audition.  






Please bring a picture and resume,
stapled together.



Two
reflective plays; examines choices in youth; mid-life.  Both explore
aspects of the human condition (morality, character, self-interest)
and both resonate with longing and the need to belong.  

THE
ACTOR concerns a young man in the midst of the Great Depression, who
wants to go to acting school but must prove to himself and others,
the merits of such a choice. 

ELEGY
FOR A LADY explores an affair and the meaning it may or may not have
had for the couple involved.



Seeking:



Horace:  Young Man, 15 to 16 yrs
old in appearance.
Horace, Sr. & Man:  (Double
cast) 40's - early 50's.
Dorothy & Proprietress:  (Double
cast) in her 20's.
Elizabeth:  Woman,  mid 30's -
40s. 

Jim:  Boy,
9 - 13 yrs old in appearance.
