World-Renowned Pianist Per Enflo to Perform Free Concert on February 21

The Chagrin Valley Chamber Music Concert Series will host Per Enflo,
world-renowned pianist, for a free chamber concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday,
February 21 at Valley Lutheran Church (87 East Orange Street, Chagrin
Falls). Enflo will perform Haydn's Variations in F minor; Beethoven's Sonata
in D Major, op 28 (Pastoral); and Schubert's Sonata in B flat major, D 960.

A veteran of the concert stage, Enflo was born in Stockholm, Sweden and
studied with Gottfrid Boon (a student of Arthur Schnabel), Bruno Seidlhofer,
and Geza Anda. At the age of 11, he gave his first piano recital and, at the
age of 12, was a soloist in eight performances of Mozart's nineteenth piano
concerto with the Royal Opera Orchestra of Sweden. After winning several
national Swedish competitions for young pianists, Enflo made his official
debut in the Stockholm Concert Hall in 1963. Since then, he has performed in
recitals and as a concerto soloist throughout the United States and Europe,
including with the Triune Festival Orchestra in Columbus, in recitals and
chamber music settings with the Kent State University music faculty where is
a professor, and in solo piano recital broadcasts on WOSU Classics Network
in Ohio.

"Per is a talented pianist of international acclaim," notes Hristo Popov,
artistic director for the Concert Series. "We are pleased to showcase him as
part of our free chamber concert series, and are sure the community will
enjoy his emotional interpretations of Haydn, Beethoven, and Schubert."
