PAID POSITION – MUSICAL DIRECTOR - YOUTH THEATER

The Beck Center for the Arts Youth Theater program is seeking resumes for a Musical Director for its upcoming production of SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL.  

This is a paid position (flat fee). 

The production is directed by Russ Stich with choreography by Devon Shriver.  It performs on the Mackey Main Stage Theater from May 14-22, 2010.

It is desired that the Musical Director will accompany the rehearsals and performances as well as teaching the music to the cast.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION:

Actor Auditions: Saturday, March 6 from 2-6pm and Sunday, March 7 from 1-5pm.

Proposed Framework for Rehearsal Schedule:
Rehearsals: March 15  – May 6, 2010
Mon, Tue, Weds, Thurs: 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturdays: 2:00pm – 6:00pm
 
Tech Week:  May 9 – 13, 2010
Sunday from 1:00 – 9:00 and Weekdays 4:30-9:00
Performance dates:  May 14 through 22, 2010
Fridays, May 14 & 21 at 7:30 pm
Saturdays, May 15 & 22 at 7:30 pm
Sunday, May 16 at 3:00 pm
Special Matinee: Saturday, May 22 at 3:00pm
Student Matinee: May 20 at 10:00am (will require missing school)
