starting at 6:30 pm. The dinner will be served by the United Methodist Women

The play, which is a Dramatists Play Service production, is being
produced by David Van Gaasbeek and directed by Jack Yoak. It is a story of six
women who deal with marriage, love and death in a small Louisiana town in the
1980s. The central theme is how people deal with the horrible disease,
diabetes. The Players are going to donate one dollar for each ticket sold to
the American Diabetes Association in honor of all those who brave this
disease every day of their lives.
Maria Work plays M’Lynn Eatenton, the socially prominent woman of the
community. Her daughter, Shelby, a sufferer of diabetes, is played by Lisa
Van Gaasbeek. The grand matron of the community, Ouiser Boudreaux, is played
by Sandra Schmeltzer, while the former mayor’s wife, Clairee Belcher, is
played by Theresa Graves. The owner of the beauty shop, Truvy Jones, is
being played by Megan Huber. Her assistant, Annelle, is played by Amiee
Jarzenski.
The cost of admission will be $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for seniors and
children under the age of twelve for all non-dinner theatre dinner
performances. The cost for each dinner theatre will be $17.00 for adults and $15.00
for seniors and children under the age of twelve.
