Announces 2010 Children’s Chorus Auditions

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT: June 11, 12, 16, 17, 18,  
19, 23, 24, 25 and 26

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

No appointment necessary – Please arrive between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM  
to be seen. All children will be seen on a 1st-come basis.



SEEKING: Twelve children thirteen and under for the Children’s Chorus  
in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Looking for a diverse  
group of energetic and imaginative children who can sing at least two- 
part harmony. The children will be involved throughout the show in  
this unique version so good focus will be required. No acting or  
dancing experience necessary.

AUDITION PREPARATION:
Please prepare one short musical theatre selection, bringing sheet  
music in the correct key. 32 bars is sufficient and an accompanist  
will be provided. Headshots and resumes will be accepted at the  
audition. Please arrive by 4:30 PM Sunday March 7th

GENERAL REHEARSAL INFORMATION:
Rehearsals are weeknights 6:30-10:30 and Saturday afternoons  
11:00-4:00, beginning two weeks before scheduled opening. No Sundays.  
For productions involving children, every effort will be made to  
release them at 9:00 PM, but, as the rehearsal period is short, the  
entire cast will be expected at all rehearsals for tech week.  
Rehearsal conflicts need to be very minimal, preferably none at all.

CASTING REQUIREMENTS
Non - Equity. There are no Equity Contracts available for this 2010  
Season. All roles are open except Abner Yokum in Li’l Abner (see  
specific show breakdowns for details and casting requirements).  
Mercury Summer Stock is committed to non-traditional casting. Actors  
will be cast solely on the basis of talent, except in cases where age,  
race or physical ability are essential to a role. Ages listed in  
breakdowns are "character ages" not actor ages. Actors selected for  
casting may be cast in more than one production for the season.
