ANNOUNCING:   Final opportunity to study Raqs Sharqi (aka Middle Eastern Belly Dance) with SORAYA in Westlake, OH before she moves out of state.....


Who:   Anyone, no age limit (no previous dance experience necessary for Level 1 class; for Level 2 class it is advised that you either have taken Level 1 in the past, have studied Belly Dance in the past, or if no previous experience, you should either have some other dance form experience or are very agile/coordinated and a quick learner)

What:  Belly Dance classes for Beginners and Intermediate/Advanced level dancers

Where: Westlake Recreation Center, 28955 Hilliard Blvd, Westlake, OH 44145

When: Mondays, March 8 - April 19, 2010  (no class on April 5), 6-week session
           Beginner Belly Dance   Level 1    7:15 - 8:15pm
           Continuing Beginners   Level 2     8:30 - 9:30pm
Cost:   Level 1:  $72 for Westlake Rec Ctr members, $77 for residents of Westlake, $82 for non-residents
           Level 2:  $72 for Westlake Rec Ctr members, $77 for residents of Westlake, $82 for non-residents
           Level 1 and Level 2, discount: $130 members, $135 residents, $140 non-residents

Why:   Learn core-strengthening body isolations, shimmies, dance combinations and choreographies in the Egyptian tradition to the exotic rhythms of the Middle-East and North Africa.  Increase your flexibility, balance, coordination and self-confidence as you develop your own interpretive dance style, or just for exercise and having fun!

How:    Just bring yourself with an open mind, wear flexible leggings/yoga stretch pants, tank top/t-shirt, hip scarf for your hips.  Bring veil and zills if you have them, but not required.
