[NEohioPAL] Celebrate Women's History Month

Celebrate Women’s History Monthwith an art exhibit, “From Woman III: Created by women, of women, and about women,” which runs March 7 through April 2 in The Gallery at Lakeland, 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, Ohio, 44094, building D, first floor. 
 
This year's artist reception coincides with the twentieth anniversary of the Lakeland Women's Center and the Women of Achievement Awards, on Sunday, March 28 from 2 to 5 p.m.
 
Lakeland faculty emeritus, Sally Carr, Ph.D., is the featured guest speaker for "20 Years of Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes." The event will also feature a choir performance by the Mentor High School Concert Women. The film documentary, “Suely’s World,” by Meg Sezemsky, will be shown at 4 p.m. “Suely’s World” tells the story of a healthcare worker in Aimorés, a small town in Brazil. 
 
The event, exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. 
 
21 local and regional female artists will exhibit works in a variety of media including: oil and acrylic painting, textiles/fiber, photography, printmaking, sculpture, glass, wood, stone, ceramics and ceramic sculpture, mixed media, filmmaking, and jewelry.
