Railroad Experience
An interactive, educational program in its 2nd year - Roles for
African-American and Caucasian men and women ... Call 440.949.5200 or
rafortney at oh.rr.com. A few roles remaining, please call if interested!
Specific Roles include for adults: Slave Catchers, Fugitive Slaves, Free
Blacks, and program support staff
Specific Roles for children: children of free blacks and children of
abolitionists
Daytime Dates: 8:30 am - 2:15 pm
March 23, 24, 25 and 26 - school field trips, 4th grade through high school
March 27 and 28 - Open to the general public
Experience the Underground Railroad as a runaway slave and see if you can
make it to freedom! Discover how to find the way and who can be trusted.
The historic Burrell Homestead was an actual stop on the Underground
Railroad so this is a part of Lorain County history. Don't miss this
experience!
