ASSOCIATED BOARD OF THE ROYAL SCHOOLS OF MUSIC*

Solon Center for the Arts has partnered with the Associated Board of the
Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) to become the official Northeast Ohio
examination center. Beginning May 2010, area music students will have the
opportunity to participate in the ABRSM’s internationally recognized
certification program. Registration for examinations can be coordinated
through the Board’s website, www.abrsm.org. Solon Center for the Arts is
committed to providing the highest level of instruction for students in
every discipline and instrument.



The ABRSM program holds affiliations with world-renown musical centers
including the Royal Academy of Music (London), Royal College of Music
(London), Royal Northern College of Music (Manchester) and Royal Scottish
Academy of Music and Drama (Glasgow). Students enrolled in the ABRSM course
of study and participating in the annual examinations are motivated by a
progressive, sequential process that encourages musical achievement through
authoritative assessment. Young musicians are exposed to a range of musical
compositions written for their primary instrument as well as studies in
ear-training and music theory.
