Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theatre is now taking reservations for CINDERELLA, to be performed for the public, Friday, April 30 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 1 at 2:30 p.m.

The story, "told as you remember it," has been adapted for the stage by playwright, Michele L. Vaca, and is being produced with the special permission of CLASSICS ON STAGE of Chicago. Following her father's death,Cinderella has been forced to cook and clean for her cruel stepmother and silly stepsisters, and must sleep among the ashes of the fireplace. A royal ball to celebrate the return of the king's son, Prince Phillip is announced. All the young ladies of the kingdom are invited, so that the prince may choose a wife. When her stepmother forbids Cinderella to attend, her fairy godmother appears to supply some magic in the form of a ball gown and golden coach. But Cinderella must leave the ball by midnight, when the magic disappears.

The Playhouse production is directed by Patricia M. Fagan, with set and lighting design by James Lybarger, assisted by John Pecano, and costuming by Robert Dennick Joki. Matt Stevens serves as stage manager, assisted by Nicholas Berent.

The cast includes Lindsay Stevens;Cristoffer Carter; Carla Napoli; Gabriella Napoli; Claire Killian; Barbara Knight Berent and Nick Narkum.

Saturday's performance is followed by a complimentary "Autograph Party" for the audience, cast and crew.
