Last of the Sorcerers was originally produced at the Cleveland Play House in 1998, and at the Powerhouse in 2003, and was described by Cleveland Scene as “a modern day Arthurian tale”. The play is the story of Timothy, a young lad who finds magic keys outside the King’s castle, and who must use the power of the keys to defend the kingdom against a cast of characters that include the evil wizard Revel and the beautiful sorceress Zamarah. Supported by good friends and his own persistence, Timothy’s story is the age old one of good versus evil. Last of the Sorcerers features a diverse cast of highly talented performers. Timothy is played by Joey Stefanko, recently seen on the Cleveland Play House stage as Ralphie in A Christmas Story. Nationally known recording artist and American Idol contestant Melissa Figueroa is a featured performer in the role of Zamarah, and New York stage actor Rollin McNamara Michael plays the dual role of King Jude/ Corinthian. Also contributing to the production as set and costume designer and fight choreographer is world renowned muralist John Rivera-Resto. Last of the Sorcerers is written produced and directed by F.A. Taylor. Mr. Taylor has written, directed and performed in many productions including Memorial, Gangster Town, The Seventh Example, The Vagabond and Lifelanes.
