FIRST MONDAYS presents a reading of ARTEMISIA a new play by Jean Cummins
based on the book by Alexandra Lapierre tonight at 7 p.m. at The Alcazar,
2450 Derbyshire Road at the top of Cedar Hill in Cleveland Heights. Sally
Groth, Michael Regnier, Nick Koesters, Courtney Nelson, Agnes Herrmann, Joe
Verciglio and Tim Keo read part 1 of this new script that explores the life
of the first major female artist, the Renaissance painter Artemisia
Gentileschi. Patricia Ashton, M.A. will lead a discussion of the work of
Artemisia and her father Orazio immediately following the program.

The Alcazar is located at the top of Cedar Hill in the Cedar-Fairmount
neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. Park in the street or in the metered lot
on Derbyshire just off Cedar. Admission is $5. Call 321-5400 to arrange for
handicapped parking in the Alcazar garage.
