Meet Authors Jerry Gabriel and Patrick Somerville on Thursday, May 6th
at 7:00 p.m. at Berea Branch Library.
Please join us in welcoming these up-and-coming authors!

Jerry Gabriel's Drowned Boy won the 2008 Mary McCarthy Prize in short
fiction.  It was also chosen as a Barnes and Noble "Discover Great New
Writers" selection and is a 2010 Barnes and Noble Discover Award
finalist.  A native Ohioan and graduate of Ohio State University, Mr.
Gabriel teaches at St. Mary's College of Maryland.  He's currently
working on a novel about an Ohio high school football coach.

Patrick Somerville's The Cradle was named a best book of 2009 by The
Cleveland Plain Dealer , The New York Times, Bookmarks magazine and
others.  The Cradle is also being made into a movie.  Somerville's
writing has appeared in GQ and Esquire.  
His third book will be published this fall.
