AT THE CASSIDY THEATRE

Registration is being accepted for Cassidy's intensive Summer session of Youth Theatre classes. Call the office at (440)842-4600 to register or for more information. Do you have a little star at home just bursting with radiance and energy? Let the Cassidy Theatre youth program teach them how to twinkle! These musical and technical theatre classes have been offering acting, singing, and dancing classes for many years. 

Classes available include:
StarDust 
4-6 year olds 
Tuesdays & Thursdays 12pm-1pm; Classes begin June 1st
Here’s a fun way for the youngest ones to get their start in theatre! This non-stressful approach to basic acting will teach your star how to twinkle! This class will work on imagination, memorization and working together. The ability to read is not necessary. A brief showcase featuring what they have learned will be presented for family and friends on Saturday, June 26th. This class is taught by Erin DiLauro. (4 week session for $40)

StarBright! 
7-12 year olds
Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00am-12:00pm; Classes begin June 22nd 
StarBright! allows students to focus on acting, singing, and dancing in a musical theatre setting. The students receive an introduction into auditioning, rehearsal technique, as well as developing their performance skills. A performance for family and friends will be presented Saturday, August 7th at 10am. Instructors include Erin DiLauro, Kay DiLauro, Corinne Halberg, Kate Michalski and Andrew Parmelee. (7 week session for $210)

StarWorks! 
13-19 year olds 
Mondays & Wednesdays 9:00am-12:00pm; Classes begin June 21st
StarWorks! is an active and exciting class for teens to study acting, improv, singing and dance. Students will also learn about theatre history, developing a character, building confidence and audition skills. Students will prepare a musical revue and acting scenes for a performance for family and friends on August 7th at 1pm. Instructors include Kate Michalski, Andrew Parmelee, Zach DeNardi and Jayne Bartish-Kacik. (7week session for $210)

StarWorks: The Dark Side
13-19 year olds
Fridays from 9am-12pm; Classes begin June 25th
This technical theatre class shows what goes on behind the scenes, as students work alongside real-life “techies” to experience their craft. Taught with a hands-on approach, this course will explore the world of lighting, sound and stagecraft while seeing the process needed to build a show. The instructor for this course is Sarah Nicholas. (7 week session for $105)
