$6,500 CASH FOR CLEVELAND WINNERS AT PRESQUE ISLE DOWNS & CASINO'S ASIAN
KARAOKE CONTEST

 

CLEVELAND, OH - Mini Baccarat and Blackjack will be available this July AT
PRESQUE ISLE DOWNS & CASINO, the closest casino to Cleveland. A huge
celebration is planned to mark this event. With the launching of these new
table games, Presque Isle Downs & Casino has partnered in our community for
a spirited search of Cleveland's first winners in an Asian style Karaoke
contest. "This is a great way to kick off the summer and showcase the Asian
Community especially on the heels of the incredible Cleveland Asian
Festival," remarks Fred Buro, President of Presque Isle Downs & Casino.

 

Appropriately named "Asian Karaoke," the performance competition is
absolutely free and open to the public. After four preliminary rounds,
twenty semi-finalists will be awarded an all expenses paid trip to Presque
Isle Downs & Casino in Erie, PA for the Grand Finale on Sunday August 8th,
2010 where the winners will take home a share of $6,500 in cash!

 

The four preliminary rounds will be held in Cleveland at Li Wah Restaurant
located in Asia Plaza at 2999 Payne Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114. The
preliminary contest dates will be held every other Thursday starting June
10th, followed by June 24th, July 8th and July 22nd. All are invited to
cheer on the karaoke performers to tip the clap meter and help the judges
select the best karaoke singers in the Cleveland area.

 

Scheduled Asian Karaoke judges include:

                - Margaret Wong, Immigration Attorney/Book Author

                - Janet Nguyen, Metromix.com

                - Lanne Kim Roland, Orchid Fashion Boutique

                - Anne Pu, Erie Chinese Journal

                - Danny Auyeung, Li Wah Chinese Restaurant

 

Promotional materials are available in English, Chinese and Vietnamese.
Entry forms and rules can be found online at www.AsianCasinoErie.com, in the
Erie Chinese Newspaper or at Li Wah Restaurant. Entry forms can be submitted
online or mailed to: Marketing Department at PRESQUE ISLE DOWNS AND CASINO,
PO Box 10728 Erie, PA 16514. All entry forms must be received at least three
(3) business days prior to each event. 

 

Contestants may sing selections from the songbooks provided (visit
www.asiancasinoerie.com) or provide their own DVD or VCD. Contestants will
sing one judged song and be scored using a 50-point system.

 

All contestants who win will be awarded a free meal at the Casino during
July or August for their participation. A contestant may enter as many
preliminary contests as desired in attempt to qualify for the grand prize.
