Beck Center Announces for Arthur Kopit's Wings!!


Beck Center will reopen it's newly renovated Studio Theatre this fall with Arthur Kopit's brilliant 1976 play about one woman's struggle to recover from a stroke. Dorothy Silver will play the central role, but this highly theatrical piece requires a dynamic ensemble of 7 to 10 actors to create the world of the play and lead the audience through a terrifying journey of the mind. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced, multi-cultural adult cast to play, doctors, nurses, patients, social workers, etc. Age range sought is 20 to 70.

The production runs weekends, October 8 through November 7. Rehearsals will begin September 7, with some preliminary work in August.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, June 12, from 3:30PM to 5:00PM, and Monday, June 14th from 7PM to 9PM. Actors will read from the script; actors who are not known by the director are asked to prepare a brief contemporary monologue. Members of Actor's Equity will be seen for the role of Amy only. (Social worker, 30's-40's)
